Our group’s job was to come up with a logo that had to do with superheroes or supervillains. So, spoiler alert, if you couldn’t tell by the title, we decided on supervillains. What do supervillains need?
They need awesome costumes! How else can they maximize the fear and intimidation factors that come with being evil?
We each came up with different names for our fashion company. I came up with “Haute Villainy,” and I’m rather fond of it. Haute means super fancy and high-class, and it sounds pompous even if you mispronounce it.
As you can see, I went through multiple different names and I had a lot of designs that I really liked. Converting a lot of them into vector art, especially on my first try, was not realistic though, so I went for a simple design that I enjoyed. Then, I combined it with another design that I really liked and they went well together. As I was figuring it out some parts just happened by themselves. I like the villain mask but I found that other people liked the creepy eyes best compared to the mask.
The pen tool was the most frustrating, trying to pen tool around other parts, and figuring out how to warp and move the text was rough. Overall, it was good though.
I liked where it went with the smile but I’m not sure if it was conveyed well enough in the last design. I’m really glad we’ll get to go over them in class for some feedback. I look forward to continue improving it.
